Ageing at elevated temperature
Although sometimes thought otherwise, only about 20% of our Standardized Testmaterials are aged at elevated temperature. Especially all new developed testmaterials are usually unaged.
The ageing process is applied for three possible different reasons:

  • Making the soil more stubborn
  • Triggering a specific effect
  • Increasing the shelf life

As said this ageing process is only applied if for one of these three reasons. Without ageing the testmaterial will be less usable.

Still, all of our testmaterials that are normally sold aged, are always available unaged on request as well. Some testmaterials are even standard available in our range in an aged and unaged version.
